As a song writer, Catalina goes by the name CATAPHANT and uses a synesthetic process to create songs by building texture and shape through sound. Her musical influences span several genres but primarily are the latin american folk artists she grew up listening to.

 

Conteptually, CATAPHANT's music covers similar topics as her paintings-- the process of spiritual fruition in the face of darkness- though more candidly explores darker themes of life and death. 
 

CATAPHANT is a frequent collaborator with Humble Beast, Illect, and Mellow Orange records.
